Every approved server on SpawnList gets its turn in the Featured Top 10 — the prime real estate at the top of the list. Each slot rotates every 24 hours, and each server cycles through in a random position. Your server will be there regardless of how many players or votes you have.
Below the featured section, the main list reshuffles on every page load. A brand new server has as much chance of appearing near the top of a visitor's view as any other.
Player votes don't determine where your server sits in the list — that's handled by the rotation. What votes do tell players is how trusted and active your community is. A server with thousands of votes signals a thriving community. A newer server still builds its reputation honestly over time.
Votes remain the quality signal. Position is no longer a prize to be monopolised.
Five clearly-labelled sponsored positions sit above the featured section — the most visible spots on the page. These are awarded fortnightly by open auction: the five highest bids each fortnight win the slots, with the highest bidder taking position 1 and so on down.
Starting bids are kept low to give servers of any size a genuine shot. There's no pay-to-rank scheme layered on top — sponsored slots are always visually separated and clearly marked so players always know what they're looking at.
We take vote integrity seriously. Each vote goes through a multi-layered verification process covering both the player's identity and the legitimacy of the submission.
Because position is determined by fair rotation rather than vote counts, votes serve as a pure community signal. We verify every vote to ensure the information players see is accurate and trustworthy.
